August 16, 2006:  Located in Andover, Minnesota

106 miles from Little Falls to Andover. As we left Little Falls this morning, we planned to ride about 75 miles to a campsite outside of Cambridge, but as we got closer the homing instinct was overwhelming!

Another great day of weather, except the 10-20 mph SE winds, was in store and as things turned out, we were feeling unusually strong after 75 miles. In no time, that feeling disappeared when we ran out of water and had to stop at a farmhouse to beg for water from a nice elderly lady.

Laura called her friend Leslie who lives in Andover to inquire about invading her house for the evening, but when we didn't hear back right away the plan changed to possibly shooting for all the way home to Mpls.

Luckily, as we approached Leslie's, she called and we immediately accepted her offer! The alternate route that John put together is the only thing that made today possible, so thanks again, John.

At dinner, we were able to finally have locally-brewed Summit beer, which really tasted good after our 3rd century of the trip.

Did You Know?  Some studies have shown as much as a five-fold increased risk in the development of intestinal cancer in people with IBD compared to the general population. Colonoscopies remain the best means for detecting early, curable cancer.
