August 17, 2006:  Located in Little Minneapolis, Minnesota

Today dawned with really no sense of urgency, as a 65 mile day into Mpls was cut down to 36 thanks to the extra effort yesterday.

We had a nice chat and photo op with Leslie, then departed for yet another modified route into downtown where Laura was able to take many photos of her favorite Mpls architectural sights. The trip into downtown also afforded us the opportunity to meet John for lunch - it's so nice to finally get to see some of the people we've missed these past weeks! So began our half rest day back home.

More to come in the days ahead, but for now we're going to take it easy and enjoy the company of some of our favorite friends!

Did You Know?  Some studies have shown as much as a five-fold increased risk in the development of intestinal cancer in people with IBD compared to the general population. Colonoscopies remain the best means for detecting early, curable cancer.
