September 8, 2006:  Located in Albion, New York

78 miles from Buffalo to Albion. Kathy made us waffles with real maple syrup to send us off in style, then drove us back to where she picked us up the other day for us to cross the Peace Bridge and enter Canada.

Took lots of photos and enjoyed the Falls area before riding back into the USA at Lewiston. 10% of the Niagara River's water falls over the American falls and 90% over the Canadian; someone needs to divert more our way and even things out.

Today we rode a lengthy portion of the Erie Canal trail, which is gravel, since the weather was so nice. The trail was totally flat and devoid of much traffic, so it was a great break for us.

Supposed to rain tomorrow, so we wanted to get some of the trail in before it was unrideable. Camping was nowhere to be found, so we stayed in a motel in Albion and learned that Bucky has been captured! Hooray! Unless, of course, he's innocent. Too early to call that one!

Did You Know?  Some studies have shown as much as a five-fold increased risk in the development of intestinal cancer in people with IBD compared to the general population. Colonoscopies remain the best means for detecting early, curable cancer.
